- 1943  The plane was a Canadian Airways "Norseman."
- 1954  A Norseman nine-passenger, single-engine, bush-type aircraft which can operate on wheels, floats, or skis, is based at Fort Smith, N.W.T.
- 1961  It was near spring breakup, and before rescue arrived, the Norseman sank to the lake bottom.
