- 1822  Meetings friendly to the Union have been held in St. Armand's and Frelighsburgh, in Lower Canada, but we have no room for their resolutions.
- 1824  A rumour has been in circulation for a few days past, that it was the intention of His Majesty's Ministers to submit to Parliament a Union of the British Provinces in North America, and to place at their head a Royal Duke as Vice-Roy.
