- 1957  He does not know the origin of most of these words but he tells me that "keebaw" stands for "keep off" and means "keep to the right" (keep to the "off" or right side, as with a horse?) and that "huddy" means "keep left." "Fa!" which seems to be the driving word, may have had its origin in the French word "Va" (go!).
