1905  The men that have remained are called "stationers"; the others are green-fish catchers.
1952  The migratory fishermen fall into two classes: the "stationers" who establish temporary quarters on shore, and and the "floaters" who operate from their schooners and follow the fish from place to place.
1954  The catch on the Labrador coast was also lower than last year, due to the reduction in the number of stationers and floaters engaged in the fishery.
