  Type: 3. Semantic Change — In Canada, calendar, academic calendar or course calendar in university contexts has come to mean the book, now the website, with all course listings and other academic information. As the citations illustrate, this use is found in various locations across the country. Course calendar is most frequent in Canada (see Chart 1). In many US universities, the academic calendar means something else, i.e. the list of academic dates throughout the year which is very frequent there (see Chart 2).
