  a fundraising supper held by a community group or church, usually in the fall.

  Type: 5. Frequency — The expression is virtually restricted to Canada (see Chart 1) and to the prairies. While fowl supper predominates in Saskatchewan (see fowl supper entry, Chart 2), fall supper is most common in Manitoba (see Chart 2).
